"The scariest words in the English language are, I'm from the government and I'm here to help." -Ronald Reagan
We need a State Representative who understands that it's not the governments place to solve all our problems. If the government gets out of the way and lets the free market and our entrepreneurial spirit take over, we will be well on our way to recovery.
Terry Rogers understands that, and that is the attitude that he has brought to Atlanta as our State Representative. As a State Representative and former City Commissioner, he knows the political side, but more importantly as a small businessman, he's dedicated to reducing taxes and cutting "red tape" in order to create jobs.
As Vice Chair of the Habersham Development Authority and Chair of the Joint Development Authority of Banks, Habersham, and Rabun Counties, he's worked with others to bring private/public grants to our area so that Habersham and White County will be poised to take advantage of new technology and create jobs. As Chairman of the Clarkesville Better Hometown Board, he's partnered with other groups which have led to the creation of 50 new businesses in Clarkesville and over 250 new jobs in Habersham County.
Terry realizes that it takes a combination of teamwork and new thinking in order to solve problems. That's the understanding he has brought to Atlanta as our Representative.
